Web Site Development
 |
With over 13 years experience developing Web sites for small businesses, we can design, overhaul or maintain your Web site.
After a free initial consultation, we'll give you an estimate for the cost of your page based on the number of hours it will take to complete the job.
You can choose to be as involved in the development of your web site as you wish. We can develop the site and update it regularly for you, or we can develop the initial site and then train your staff to maintain it internally. In these cases, we are always available for consulting and troubleshooting on an hourly basis.
If you choose to design and/or maintain a web site yourself, we offer classes and one-to-one training in Dreamweaver at both beginner and advanced levels. Private classes and consulting are also available in HTML and Microsoft FrontPage.

Sample Web Sites

Premiere Domestic Staffing Solutions, LLC provides household staff for clients in Connecticut. The company had a clear goal from the beginning--an elegant site that was easy to navigate with eye-catching, hi-res graphics.
The site also processes two online forms--an employer form and an extensive candidate form that we created with PHP.
While we are currently maintaining the site in Dreamweaver for the client, plans include training a staff member to maintain and update the site in the future.

Hat Stuff is
a
hat and accessory company located in Wendell,
MA, that operates exclusively
on a wholesale basis.
Since their inventory changes
frequently, they needed a Web site that they
could update easily with new products,
pictures and pricing information. They also wanted
pricing information visible only to wholesalers
who were logged into the site.
Using Microsoft FrontPage
and ASP, we developed a site that meets their
security requirements and is easily updated with
new pictures and product information.

The Hampshire County Retirement
System had two priorities in developing their
web site. First, they needed a web site that
was within their budget. Second, they needed
to update information frequently and wanted
to learn to do it themselves.
Since several staff members
were power users of Microsoft Office, we created
the site in FrontPage and put them through
classes, using their web site in class exercises.
They are now updating the site regularly on
their own.
The web site includes news
for retirees, payment schedules, and downloadable
forms for members in PDF and MS Word format.

The Robert Ryan Management
Consultancy wanted a Web site that highlighted
the firm's experience and integrity, emphasizing
a track record of successful solutions
to problems related to organizational restructuring,
interim and crisis management, and management
recruiting.
Our graphic designers and
web developers worked with the client
to create and revise an overall design. We then
combined original graphics with testimonials
to develop an elegant site that provides the
firm's prospective clients with considerable
information in a format that is easy to navigate.

In 1999, we developed an
Intranet version of the Multicultural Resource
print calendar, published by Diversity
Resources, Inc.
We have continued to update
and improve the online version of the calendar
for the last eight years.
In 2005, one of our programmers
worked with our web developer to produce a database
that lets us create customized versions of the
calendar. Now clients can order a version with
special occasions and holiday categories added
or omitted before the calendar is produced.

Gary is an independent-minded
business owner who wanted a web site that he
could control himself. Since his inventory changes
on a daily basis, he needed to change text and
photos on his web site quickly and easily.
We helped Gary set up his
web site by registering a domain name and recommending
a web hosting service. After creating and uploading
the initial site, we trained Gary to update his
web site in two one-to-one training sessions
and provided after-hours support when he needed
help.
Gary reports that his site
quickly paid for itself through the business
it generated, and he continues to update the
site himself on a daily basis.

We re-designed the site, added drop-down menus for navigation, hi-res graphics to highlight their products, an interactive page on table linens, and incorporated some of their previous pages into the new design.
We also trained Highland staff to update the site using MS FrontPage.

is a collection of resources utilized by more
than one third of the top 50 companies in diversity,
including AOL, Bank of America, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson,

U.S. Coast Guard.
Our web developers update
the Resource Center four times a year and make
periodic updates available to subscribers through
downloadable files on the Diversity Resources
web site.
In 2004, our graphic designers
overhauled the look of the Resource Center, adding
a new design that included the opening page pictured
on the left.

The Dental Herb Company wanted
a simple brochure web site that looked similar
to their printed marketing materials and included
an online form that potential customers could
use to request information.
After creating the initial
site, the company's web hosting service went
out of business and sold their account to another
company with poor reliability and worse technical
support. We recommended a new hosting service
and took care of moving the site over with a
minimum of downtime.

We developed the Diversity
Resources web site in 1996 and have maintained
and updated it since its inception.
In addition to converting
the company's print materials to html, we developed
a secure system that allows subscribers to download
periodic updates to the company's online products
from the web site.
The web site has undergone
numerous changes over the years, recently incorporating
a Diversity Institute, and online store, and streaming videos.
